William O’Keefe is the voice of reason and the man behind the curtain at Cope Linder Architects, responsible for all of the business aspects of professional practice. Bill handles internal and external accounting, finance, legal, insurance, and human resources with calm efficiency.
When Bill exited architecture school, he enrolled immediately in business school and earned an M.B.A. Only then did he pursue architectural licensure and design practice. Bill’s demeanor and pragmatism lent itself to construction administration, but he found that business development and business management were his strengths.
He joined CLA to handle practice management and admits he enjoys his role tremendously. It gives him exposure to the field and activity of architecture while letting his financial acumen and organization skills shine.
Despite not being involved in design and documentation at the office, Bill has experience with several single-family house projects. The self-proclaimed Mr. Type A loves tinkering and keeping things orderly. He enjoys golf, bridge, and spending time with family. He is a member of the Philadelphia Athenaeum and past treasurer of Philadelphia Cricket Club.
Bill holds an M.B.A. and B.Arch from Cornell University and is registered in Pa. and N.J. He joined CLA in 1985.
